Beside, the video is not from a palestinian group, but from the israel peace-group B'tselem - An Israeli human rights group released video on Friday which it said showed the start of an assault on Palestinian farmers by masked, stick-wielding Jewish settlers. The footage, distributed by rights group B'Tselem, shows four people with faces swathed in scarves and holding sticks, approaching the farmers near Susia settlement outside Hebron in the West Bank. Palestinians barred from beaches to 'appease Israeli settlers' - Donald Macintyre - Palestinians are being regularly and illegally barred from reaching Dead Sea beaches in the occupied West Bank, according to a Supreme Court petition. >>>

Ten Palestinians were injured when Israeli troops invaded the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem on Saturday afternoon. .- IMEMC correspondent in Bethlehem Ghassan Bannoura reported that at least 14 Israeli military jeep invaded the city and surrounded the house of Muath Abu Aker family. Abu Aker is claimed wanted by the Israeli army, for being involved with the Palestinian armed resistance groups. Clashes between local youth and the invading troops erupted nearby Deheisheh refugee camp. Palestinian youth hurled stones at the Israeli jeep, while troops responded with tear gas and rubber-coated steel bullets injuring ten civilians, one seriously.

Untold stories: Yusif Farsakh - Yusif Farsakh claims his Nakba story "is not terribly sad." Other Palestinians undoubtedly endured more. Nevertheless, his account details significant individual loss and upheaval amidst the wider dispossession of the Palestinians in 1948 when more than 700,000 were driven from their homes by Zionist militias and most of Palestine was seized by the new state of Israel. Born on July 25, 1926 in Birzeit, a small town nine miles north of Jerusalem, Yusif Farsakh started working for the Arab Bank, just outside Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem, shortly after he graduated from Al-Rashidiyya High School. Life changed dramatically in the summer of 1948 when his bank was taken over by the Israelis. "I was laid off from my job. Mit dem Fahrrad nach Palästina. - Waltraud Schauer - 250 Frauen aus 28 Ländern unterwegs im Libanon, Syrien, Jordanien und Palästina. Ein Bericht über die "Follow the Women" - Solidaritätsreise,  Mai 2008 - So viele Frauen auf Rädern erregen auch in unseren Breiten Aufmerksamkeit -  besonders aber in Ländern, wo Rad fahren - speziell für Frauen - noch in den Kinderschuhen steckt. "Follow the Women" (FTW) wurde von Detta Regan, einer Sozialarbeiterin aus England, die viele Jahre mit Jugendlichen in Palästina und Syrien gearbeitet hat, gegründet. 2002 erreichte sie ein verzweifelter Hilferuf aus Jericho, einer von den Israelis belagerten Stadt im Westjordanland, sie möge doch etwas unternehmen und auf die unerträgliche Situation der Palästinenser aufmerksam  machen. Der passionierten Radfahrerin ist es mit dieser Initiative  nicht nur gelungen großes Medieninteresse in den bereisten Ländern zu erwirken, sondern die Begeisterung für diesen Sport an die vielen Teilnehmerinnen aus den arabischen Ländern (Irak, Syrien, Libanon, Jordanien, Palästina etc.) auch Iranerinnen waren dabei, weiter zu geben. Es war dieses Jahr bereits die fünfte derartige Reise. Gestartet wird immer von einem anderen Ausgangspunkt aber immer ist  Palästina das Endziel. Die Reise ist auch immer  mit dem üblichen Nervenkitzel verbunden. >>>

CPJ drängt auf Freigabe der Untersuchungsergebnisse zum Tod von Shana - Das in New York ansässige „Commitee to Protect Journalists“ (CPJ) forderte gestern Israel auf, die Ergebnisse ihrer Untersuchung über die Ermordung des Kameramannes der Nachrichtenagentur Reuters freizugeben. Der 23-jährige Kameramann Fadel Shana und mehrere Zivilisten wurden am 16. April d.J. durch einen Panzerbeschuss getötet.
